ShipThanks

Conversations

A thank-you isn't a broadcast — it's the opening of a conversation. ShipThanks keeps that conversation going without ever exposing a seller's personal phone number.

How replies work

Every organization has its own dedicated, carrier-registered phone number. All customer-facing messages — the thank-you and any follow-ups — are sent from that number, and customer replies come back to it.

When a customer replies:

  1. ShipThanks matches the reply to the right conversation and seller.
  2. The message appears in the seller's dashboard inbox, threaded under the order it belongs to.
  3. The seller gets an SMS alert so replies don't sit unanswered.
  4. The seller responds from the dashboard; the customer sees a normal text from your brand's number.

Customers experience an ordinary text-message exchange. Sellers get a shared, auditable inbox; the organization keeps the relationship on its own number.

The watch page

Video doesn't travel well inside MMS, so ShipThanks sends an animated GIF preview inline and links to a watch page — a clean, branded, public page that plays the full video. Each send gets its own unique link.

There's nothing for the customer to install or sign up for: tap the link, watch the video, reply by text.

Opt-out and compliance

Standard SMS opt-out (STOP) is honored automatically. Once a customer opts out, sellers are no longer prompted to record for that customer's orders, and no messages are sent. ShipThanks handles carrier compliance registration (10DLC) for your organization's number during onboarding.
